STORMCHASERS is an exciting new collective, drawn from several well-known Herts/Essex bands. Brought together to revisit some of the most influential music of an era of blues, soul and funk, the band has quickly built up a set list to be reckoned with.

Stormchasers is shaped around the astonishing vocal power of Michelle Eley and the musical finesse of Ray Hollingworth (guitar), both original members of the popular Chelmsford based, Cover Up band and the founding members of Stormchasers.

Mick Rose (piano and organ) adds colour and texture to the mix, fresh from the touring Bootleg Boss, Springsteen tribute band. Cementing it all, the rhythm section is made up of Dietmar Schantin (bass) from ReFloyd – the Herts based Pink Floyd tribute show and Sean McGran (drums) from Stortford’s own Clean Sneak and Kent based Midnight Crawlers & Andy Lester’s Blue Train. The result is a heady brew of strong classic blues and soul themes, performed with full energy and more than a hint of a Tedeschi Trucks treatment. The band report an instant chemistry and a great excitement about this collaboration – anything could happen!
